Why TerraNovaID cannot work like other platforms.And why that is the point.
TerraNovaID has four ways of being sustained. Voluntary contributions, the Deep Ecological Portrait, the Founding Membership Pass, and (from Phase D) Annual Membership. Together they keep the platform independent. No advertising, no data sales, no investors directing the product.
You know how most platforms work. They are free, and you are the product. Your attention is sold to advertisers. Your data is analysed for commercial purposes. The platform incentive is not your depth but your engagement, because engagement generates ad revenue.
TerraNovaID cannot work that way. Advertising requires attention optimisation, the opposite of the quiet reflection that identity work needs. Data sales would turn your Portrait into a commercial asset. Investor capital would create growth pressure that distorts the work itself.
What works instead is what we have built: four streams that all share one principle. People who find the platform valuable choose to sustain it, on their own terms, at their own pace. No single revenue source may account for more than 25% of total income. That independence is not a preference. It is a structural condition for the kind of platform this needs to be.
A platform for identity work cannot be funded by mechanisms that undermine identity work.

Verdiepend (€50): the above, plus vroege toegang to Echo Portrait when it launches in Phase B. Skip is always there. No reminders, no pressure.
- Deep Ecological Portrait
€69 one-time. A premium artefact-version of your Portrait. Same data, richer narrative, designed as a lifetime keepsake. Available right after your Portrait. Optional.
- Founding Membership Pass
€399 one-time. 144 places, only during the first six months from launch — the window closes after six months even if the 144 are not full. Includes the Deep Ecological Portrait, Echo Portrait when launched, the first Reflection Journey, and lifetime Annual Membership when it opens in Phase D. The only permanent lifetime option within TerraNovaID. Regular Phase D Membership has no lifetime tier. This makes Founding structurally singular, not merely early.

From Phase D (12+ months from launch). Four billing variants: Founding Year €149/year (first 12 months of Phase D only), Standard yearly €199/year, Standard two-yearly €349, and Standard monthly €19/maand for those who prefer flexibility. Bundles Portrait Understory, Portrait Domains, Reflection Journeys, Conversation Guides, the full Reflection Podcasts and E-Learning libraries, AI-supported Reflection, Conversation Preparation, and a yearly Echo Portrait. A contribution that fits a tighter financial reality, whether you are a student, on a lower income, or in an early career. Tegenprestatie: vroege toegang to the curated Reflection Article-bundle, plus a personal thank-you message from Kris.
- Standaard · €35
A contribution that reflects the honest cost of what you receive (infrastructure, development, AI processing, the people behind it). Tegenprestatie: everything in Toegankelijk, plus vroege toegang to the first Reflection Journey when it launches in Phase B.
- Verdiepend · €50
A contribution that explicitly subsidises Toegankelijk-level access for others. Tegenprestatie: everything in Standaard, plus vroege toegang to Echo Portrait when it launches in Phase B.
A Verdiepend-bijdrager receives all three returns. A Standaard-bijdrager receives the first two. A Toegankelijk-bijdrager receives the first. There are no private extras beyond the tegenprestaties. The contribution itself is the point. It sustains the principle that ecological identity work should be accessible to everyone, regardless of financial situation.
Each stream has its own solidarity logic. Voluntary Solidarity carries a three-level structure with cumulative tegenprestaties. The Deep Ecological Portrait is a single artefact price. The Founding Membership Pass is a single patronage price. Annual Membership will carry its own three-level structure within the Standard tier from Phase D. Pricing is not uniform across the streams. What is uniform is the architectural commitment: higher contributions explicitly subsidise lower-cost access for others, and the Portrait itself stays free.

The tiers reflect differences in depth, not differences in ecological commitment. Someone in Observe is not less committed than someone in Inhabit. They are in a different position in the landscape. Both are valid.
We believe you should know what your contribution actually supports.
When you contribute to TerraNovaID, your investment goes to five things. Infrastructure: the servers, security and privacy architecture that keeps your Portrait safe and private. Development: building and refining the tools, the Portrait, the layers, the Connect environment. AI processing: the costs of longer narrative generation, especially for the Deep Portrait. People: the time of those who build, write, support, and maintain. And the Solidarity reserve: the part that funds Toegankelijk-level access for those with fewer means.
No advertising pays for any of this. No investor profits from it. No data sale subsidises it. What Contributing members give is what makes TerraNovaID possible. That is the simplest way to say it.
How we know when to grow.
TerraNovaID grows in phases. Each phase opens when the previous phase has demonstrated sustainability. Phase A (launch) is open. Phase B opens when 100 Portraits per month is sustained over two months. Phase C opens at 250 Portraits per month sustained over two months, plus €25,000 cumulative gross revenue from launch. Phase D, when Annual Membership becomes available, opens at 400 Portraits per month sustained over three months, plus €60,000 cumulative gross revenue, plus a minimum of 50 active Founding Members. This pacing is intentional. We do not scale before the foundation can carry it.
There is no right time to start contributing.
